Here's Mae Mei's picture of the Vergai kidnapping the princess. It looks very professional and was drawn using photoshop. It's had lots of votes already, so well done and good luck in the competition.

You don't want to get on the wrong side of this ginger dwarf for he's as canny as they come. Raja does have a softer side and is a skilled healer when needed. Read about his exploits in Elven Jewel, the first book in the Hunters of Reloria trilogy. Art by the always awesome Scott Patterson I am having a great time writing and I love doing battles, especially if there's a dragon involved. Woot! On the other hand I may have to get the halflings some maths tutoring, as they think that 2 Tim Tam's each equal an entire packet. I guess they get that from me LOL :-) Someone's got to keep the young hunters in check and teach them to fight the vicious Vergai, and that job sits squarely on Old Fandri's toned shoulders. The halfling woodcutter has a colourful past, from traveling with elves and knights to battling dragons. Just what the hunters need to negotiate through the wild lands of Reloria. Oh, and his fairy, Fandri-La has been there through it all too and isn't afraid to give the young halflings a piece of her mind! Draw a character from Elven Jewel to enter the fantasy art competition. $150 prize. Here's another lovely drawing of the elven princess by budding young artist Matilda from Brisbane. It's very well drawn and we love the colours. Good luck in the competition. There's still one month left for youngsters aged up to 18 to have a go for a chance to win great prizes. So check out the characters from Elven Jewel. www.huntersofreloria.weebly.com/art-competition-entries.html After weeks of watching Despicable Me 1 at home and pleas from the hobbits, we set off to the big screen to watch number 2 (number 2 tee hee). Gee it's a great show for all ages and I keep going "meh" and blowing a raspberry like the adorable minions. Don't get me wrong, it's not all toilet humour (bottom tee hee hee) but has a bit of romance for both Gru and Margot and some awesome attack skills for Edith. Little Agnes and the minions still get all the best lines and Gru in a fairy costume is priceless. Go and see it and then see it again. One of the best all-time kids movies and I'd give it 5 stars. Shari-Rose is a willful and headstrong young elven princess who is used to getting her way in whatever she wants to do. Her world is turned upside down when cruel Vergai warriors invade Reloria on a mission to steal the Elven Jewel. Will the elf's magical powers and her loyal guardian be enough to stop the deadly menace? Free image courtesy of dreamstime.com Wanted: young artists for a fantasy art competition. $150 first prize. We hope you're enjoying reading Elven Jewel and sharing the story with your friends. My son's had two short stories published through writing competitions already and we were talking yesterday about him co-writing my next series. We're coming up with some great ideas and it sounds like a fun project for us to do. What's that saying ... the family that plays together, stays together. Have a great day folks. |
