Every story has a dark side, and this story belongs to Cam, the brooding, bad-boy dark angel FALLEN readers love.
High school can be hell. Cam knows what it’s like to be haunted. He’s spent more time in Hell than any angel ever should. And his freshest Hell is high school, where Lilith, the girl he can’t stop loving, is serving out a punishment for his crimes. Cam made a bet with Lucifer: he has fifteen days to convince the only girl who really matters to him to love him again. If he succeeds, Lilith will be allowed back into the world, and they can live their lives together. But if he fails . . . there’s a special place in Hell just for him. Tick-tock. |
My review:
After reading the fallen series a few years ago, I was excited to find this stand-alone novel linked to the series.
The main books in the series follow the relationship of Daniel and Lucinda. This one features fallen angel Cam and an interesting romance he had with a woman many millennia ago.
Lilith is a name many of us would recognise as a demon of Hell who has been portrayed in different media over the years. I like that Lauren Kate brought a different spin on Lilith's history.
The demon Lucifer is taunting Cam with a promise of bringing the love of his life back to him if he can get her to forgive a massive secret from the past and fall in love with him again.
Can he make amends or will he truly be Unforgiven for all of eternity?
I recommend you read it to find out. 5 stars from me.
A bonus suggestion from me is to listen to Metallica's Unforgiven song while you read it. Truly a classic
