AuthorI am yet to settle with a genre, rather I am approaching writing like my real world – a degustation menu waiting to be sampled. I have just pressed ‘send’ for a 300 word article for a local magazine; I have a first draft manuscript with 60000 poorly chosen words for a YA novel in the bottom drawer; a cook book I use nearly every second day; a memoir written for a friend as a gift to her children before she died which is still being ordered by friends and family POD through Blurb; two children’s picture books which I adore and a bundle I am still working on; as well as a ‘How to’ guide in which I share the methodology I use to teach children how to write and illustrate their own picture books (figuring if it works for them, it certainly will for any adult writer aspiring to reach the same goal.) So, I am here today with oodles of ideas for more work and just not enough time in the day to do it all. Really, I need to believe I have a talent for finding and supporting the talents of others! Not a bad reason to get up in the morning! Categories |
