Nine Nights of Fogh
Rhapsody has a tragic past and feels that she cannot love anyone because of what happened to her as a child. She has never experienced romantic love, although she does have a close friend she confides in. She is a school teacher and many years ago she taught a boy named Jeremy who developed a crush on her. He has been besotted with her ever since and when he is 33 he comes back to their town to express his love. He comes across as very appealing, with a muscled physique and green eyes. In the opening scene, Jeremy and Rhapsody have a rough, but passionate encounter and she is scared away. |
I found it to be a beautiful story as it went along, although I did find the opening scene too rough to be romantic. Also I though the name, Rhapsody, meaning rapture / ecstasy to be an unusual choice for the character.
I found the Christian element to be quite touching and appropriate to the story. I would say the story would also appeal to those other than Christian.
I thought the engagement with Houston Pratt was quite intriguing and Rhapsody's relationship with him was a key part of the story for me.
I rate Nine Nights of Fogh as highly recommended.
