No candle-lit dinner and dozen long-stemmed roses here at Hunters HQ. Too predictable. Instead, we had much more fun on a family tree-climbing adventure. I guess priorities change as the family grows and our ideas of a fun time change with it, so we headed down the beach park and climbed the historic local cotton trees. We do enjoy a good play together down the park and the little dragons absolutely love it: climbing, ducking and diving between the gnarly old branches that I climbed on as a young dragon, myself. We weren't the only ones enjoying the beautiful sunshine, with the BBQs and picnic tables full of families too. |
After a great morning down the park, we went into a delightful café called the Sugar Deli, where they specialise in delicious cakes. After indulging in chocolate and macadamia cakes, we flew home and exchanged handmade cards with heart-thought messages about what love means to us.
... and that is Valentine's Day, the dragon way.
