Finally, I have found an author who writes my type of happy ending!!! Dragon’s Revenge by Kasper Beaumont was the perfect ending to a wonderful trilogy. There were some sad points in the books. Let’s face it, we can’t have everything. Nevertheless, the book as a whole was extremely satisfying. The Hunters of Reloria is definitely going on the list of ‘My Favorite Series’. I was given an ARC for an honest review. By Miranda on 31 August 2014 Format: Kindle Edition |
This third book starts from where book 2 left off. On one side Reloria is under attack and on the other princess and her companions are struggling to get away from their enemies, trapped in a foreign planet with no way of getting to Reloria in sight. later they joined forces with rebels and were able to rescue wizards. Who then helped them to open a portal, so that they can return to their homeland. Things are getting fiercer by the day and mountain people were killed. When hunters are re-united, their mission was to fight and defeat their common enemy.
We meet some new characters along the way and all the old characters remain just as entertaining as before. My favourite character in this one is Asher-a shape shifter, who is mountain man and a dragon at the same time. But all the other characters are good too. and the climax was indeed epic. Loved it and recommend it to all book lovers/readers. Posted by Mano Billi http://mineofbooks.blogspot.com.au/2014/08/review-dragons-revenge-by-kasper.html
A group of people, coming from different regions of Reloria and different races – halflings, elves, dwarves, knights, and a dragon too – embark on a mission to fight the Vergai and save the Princess, who carries the Jewel.
What makes this book special is the author's ability to create Reloria's world. The readers can see lush woods, the magnificent elven palace, and small country towns of Reloria as if they were real in front of their eyes. Besides, all the characters are believable and three-dimensional. From the young halflings, sweet and brave, to the dwarves, funny and stubborn, to the noble knights, all of them embody heroes with timeless values. Only their friendship, bravery, and loyalty can save Reloria. But their mission comes at a cost. Their peaceful lives change for good. They have to face terrible dangers, and they suffer dramatic losses. My favorite characters are the fairies, tiny and beautiful. They are closely linked to the halflings, and they help them in their mission. The fairies don't speak much but they manage to express their feelings with their behavior and moves. Finally, the book is wonderfully written. The author's style is simple and flowing, and perfectly goes along with the fast-paced action. I recommend the book to the lovers of fantasy genre of all ages, from middle grade to adults. I can't wait to read the second episode of the saga. I won a copy of this book in a giveaway. By Sara L. - See all my reviews This review is from: Elven Jewel (Hunters of Reloria trilogy Book 1) (Kindle Edition) Posted on Amazon.com August 20, 2014 By A.R. Wise LOVED!! Format: Kindle Edition I’m honestly not sure where to start. I took a liking to this series from the moment I finished the first book. I’m sad that it ended but also happy with the outcome. In Dragon’s Revenge, the Hunters of Reloria are still fighting the good and noble fight. Again new allies and enemies are met. Friends are won and lost as happens with battles. The strength of halflings, fairies, wizards, dwarfs, elves, dragons are tested when almost an entire race is laid to waste. I won’t give anymore away, but I will say each scene is written to pull you in further. I would recommend this series to fantasy lovers young and old. The entire series is well written and put together. The characters are engaging. You laugh, cry, and root for the Hunters and their fight to save their planet. I’ll definitely will be re-reading this series again. *Provided to reviewer for honest review* Amazon.com August 21, 2014
By Jjspina 5 stars An Exciting Fantasy Chock Full of Adventures and Strange Creatures! Format:Kindle Edition An adventuresome and exciting fantasy that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The story is about a land called Reloria. This magical land is invaded by enemy ships carrying giants who shoot laser beams out their one eye. There are all kinds of creatures who come to aid the Relorians in their battle to protect their land. There are dwarves, elves, wizards, dragons, fairies, and halflings and more excitement as the battle ensues, lives are lost and reborn. There are two books before this one. This is a wonderful fantasy that will captivate YA. I was gifted this book in return for an honest and unbiased review. Amazon
raccoon with a penchant for tinkering and blowing things up; Drax the man-muscle - straightforward and seeking vengeance; and a walking talking, Treebeard-like creature named Groot with amazing abilities.
Sure, I could analyse this to bits, but all you need to know is that is is fun, funny and has cool spaceship battles. It's entertaining! What more could anyone want? I'll be back next week to see it again with the halflings. 5 stars from me. Showing at cinemas now.
Review by NOBLE REVIEWS - Where noble means NO BULL
4.5 out of 5 Kisses In this second installment of the Hunters of Reloria Trilogy things start to get very intense. Reloria is under siege from the evil Vergai invaders. They have captured the Elven Jewel, but she is feisty and holding her own. We see our Hunters encounter a host of new allies that lend aid along their hard journey. I believe the mermaids were my favorite. Their journey is fraught with up-hill battles that they have to overcome. The introduction of new characters along the way added additional depth to the story. We get to see Rendi, Fendi, and the others grow just a little more. I’ve said this in a previous review, I haven’t read a good fantasy since The Lord of The Rings, but Kasper Beaumont has put me on the path to yet another that I would likely read more than once. The descriptions of characters and places will transport you to Reloria and into the hearts of the Hunters themselves. If you like fairies, dragons, dwarfs, mermaids, elves, mages, halflings, and the like, you’ll absolutely love the Hunters of Reloria. I’m looking forward the reading the third book in the trilogy and finding out if our heroes can save the day. The locations are as nicely drawn as to be expected from Kasper Beaumont and the glimpses of otherworldly religion, astrology and even the details of the Centaurs dietary preferences lend a delightful authenticity, as well as providing extra humour to the tale. I liked the lovely funny quirks of these creatures in much the same way as I was enamoured with the depiction of the fairies. <spoiler>
Daeron and elven princess Shari Rose's connection was particularly inspired, and I felt the pain of Daeron's situation with the lovely Cassie -Belle. He thinks she could do better than him! No, she couldn't, and I do hope that she can win him round in the future. This is such an exciting read, learning more about the characters, the Dragons and the other amazing additions to The Hunters series. The cliffhanger sets up peferctly for the next where I hope to see the Jewel rescued from an evil laser eyed Emperor on another world, find out what happens with the gifted Violetta, and I 'm also very curious what's going to happen with Randir's involvement with the seductive white halfling. I highly recommend this fantastical read for the young 12+, and the young at heart. Posted on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Hunters-Quest-Reloria-trilogy-Book-ebook/product-reviews/B00H05039Q
If you liked reading The Lord of the Rings I'm sure you will like this book. Kasper has shown great skill and imagination as she cleverly put together new fantasy lands, people, creatures, cultures, names and scenery. The Elvin Jewel has a good mix of mystery, adventure, romance, friendship, heroes, villains and monsters. It has it all. Well done Kasper I am very pleased there is more to come as I would miss these delightful characters.
The story moved slow yet the characters wit kept me entertained.
I think this is a great story to read on a sunny day under a tree at the park. I was given a copy by the author to review. Check it out dudes. Loads more reviews here: http://huntersofreloria.weebly.com/elven-jewel-reviews.html Anne says, 'This is an entertaining story, Kasper. It maintains the reader's interest throughout. It is dramatic and written with clarity. Keep up the good work.' David says, 'I liked this science fiction story of a dragon in love which ended sadly. We would like to publish it.' Awesome stuff! I'm so excited to have my work accepted in the Alpha and Omega Anthology and hope it will be published by Christmas. The anthology is all about beginning and ending. My story fits the criteria with its hope and promise of new love, turning into a tragedy. Thanks so much to Bill Fox-Taylor for the editing and to Jaki Martinez and Mike Fertig for the artwork. |
